Cyndi Turner is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner, and a Master Addiction Counselor who has been in the field for over twenty years. She cofounded and is the Clinical Director of Insight Into Action Therapy, a private outpatient therapy practice with two offices in Northern Virginia. She co-developed and facilitates the Dual Diagnosis Recovery Program©. Local courts have qualified her as an expert witness and she provides therapy for players involved in the National Football League Program for Substances of Abuse.
Cyndi is willing to challenge the traditional belief that all drinkers experiencing problems must be alcoholics who need to quit drinking forever. She is a Moderation Management-friendly therapist and is Get SMART FAST certified. She lives in Northern Virginia and loves anything to do with sun, sand, beaches, or boats.
Over the past decade Cyndi has given a multitude of presentations and workshops on topics including substance use disorders, dual diagnosis treatment, emotional indulgence, mental health, and moderate drinking.
She currently provides a 90-minute seminar for 1.5 Continuing Education credits for counselors, social workers, alcohol/drug abuse counselors, pyschologists, nurses, marriage and family therapists, and case managers. Her mission is to reach the 90 million people who are suffering from a mild or moderate alcohol use sturggling with their drinking but are hesitant to reach out for help for fear of being labeled an alcoholic, forced into treatment, made to attend 12-step meetings, and have to to stop drinking completely. If you would like Cyndi to talk at your event, please contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
